Eqlynk (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Eqlynk equestrian store directory at eqlynk.com. We are an independent directory and are not affiliated with any listed store.

2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account registration: name (optional) and email address when you create an account.
- Authentication via Google: your name, email address, and Google profile image if you sign in with Google OAuth.
- Store submissions: any store information you voluntarily submit through the submission form.
- Favorites: the stores you choose to save to your profile.
Information collected automatically
- Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure.

3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To save and display your favorites list on your profile page.
- To send transactional emails such as email verification and password reset links.
- To review and process store submissions.
- To improve the site through analytics (subject to your cookie consent).
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can manage your preferences at any time using the panel in the site footer.

The map view is powered by Mapbox. When you use the map, Mapbox may set its own cookies subject to the Mapbox Privacy Policy.
5. Third-party services
- Neon (database hosting): your account and favorites data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon, Inc. in accordance with their privacy policy.
- Google OAuth: if you sign in with Google, Google shares limited profile data with us in accordance with their privacy policy.
- Mapbox: powers the interactive map view.
- Analytics & advertising providers (subject to cookie consent): we may use services such as Google Analytics and similar tools to understand site usage. These providers may set cookies and process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
6. Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to certain processing activities.
- Opt out of sale / sharing (CCPA) — California residents may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal data; however you can disable marketing cookies via the Cookie Preferences panel.

8. International transfers
Eqlynk operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect cross-border data transfers.
9. Children's privacy
Eqlynk is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
